Good Day ! All of my colleagues in NEC Corporation (Thailand)

 

First of all, at the beginning of FY2013, I would like to extend my deep appreciation for the hard work by all of you during the last 12 months. Although I could not achieve the budget of OP and Sales of this company, I know many of my colleagues have made the very hard work to challenge the target.FY2013 has just started. I would like to walk again with you in this year as well.

 

I would like to introduce the speech of Dr.Endo which was delivered to the new employees (new graduates from school) at the ceremony of entrance.

 

First of all, Dr.Endo introduced our NEC GROUP VISION 2017. It is also important for us to confirm our vision as NEC GROUP. That is ; “To be a leading global company leveraging the power of innovation to realize an information society friendly to humans and the earth” We (NEC GROUP) say;

1.We will realize an information society friendly to human and the earth,

2.We will be aiming to become the global leading company.

3.Our identity is the Innovation / the creation of the additional value.

 

Dr. Endo requested all to recognize the NEC GROUP VISION so that each of us can contribute to the each society by creating the additional value.

 

Secondly, Dr.Endo talked about the business. Our business is realized when we complete the delivery. The deliverable should not “Sellable” by us but should be “Selected” and “Taken” by the customer. In order to be “Selected” and “Taken” by the customer, our deliverable shall be the top of the top / the best of the best (DANTOTSU). The deliverable of NEC shall be composed of the hardware, the software and the service as well. So, in the realization of “DANTOTSU” (the best of the best), Dr.Endo encouraged us to play the each role such as the sales, the system engineers, the support engineers, the professional service engineers, the system development engineers and so on.

 

Additionally, Dr.Endo mentioned 2 more things. (1) Strong determination and (2) Ethics. Both are important. Unless we do wish strongly to realize something, such thing will never come true. So, once we fix the target, we should accept that target, we should decide to work hard to achieve such target, and we shall make the effort to realize it. But, the methodology of the realization of the target shall be important. Unfair things shall be ruled out from our option.

 

Finally, Dr.Endo said that Good business can be made by the good employees. and the company having the good employees must have the good culture.

 

The above speech of Dr.Endo is for the fresh entrant to NEC Japan. However, I hope all colleagues of NEC THAI can also receive some inspiration from this.
